Speedometer GPS MPH Tracker (the "Application") is a local-only GPS speedometer and trip tracking utility for iOS. It is provided by Manas Protim Das (the "Service Provider") as a freemium service, intended for use "AS IS".
This privacy policy applies to Speedometer GPS MPH Tracker distributed through the Apple App Store.

1. Information Collection and Use
Speedometer does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to external servers.
All data generated by the Application—including speed readings, trip history, route data, settings, and preferences—is stored only on your device using Apple's local storage technologies.
- No Account Required: Speedometer does not require registration, login, or personally identifiable information to function.
- No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not collect your IP address, device identifier, usage patterns, or other telemetry.
- No Cloud Syncing: Your data is not uploaded to any server.
- No Cookies: The Application does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.
2. Location Data
Speedometer requests access to your device's location services to provide its core speed measurement and trip tracking features.
- Purpose: Location data is used exclusively to determine your current speed, heading, altitude, and to record trip routes on the map. This is the fundamental function of the Application.
- Local Processing: All speed calculations, trip recording, and route mapping are performed entirely on-device.
- No Location Transmission: Your location data, GPS coordinates, and trip routes are never uploaded to or shared with any external server.
- No Location History Sold or Shared: The Service Provider does not sell, share, or monetize your location data in any way.
- Permission Control: You can grant or revoke location access at any time in your device settings under Privacy & Security → Location Services. The Application functions with "While Using the App" permission; precise location is required for accurate speed readings.
3. Motion and Sensor Data
The Application accesses device motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) when you use the acceleration measurement feature (e.g., 0–60 mph timing). These sensors do not require a separate permission prompt.
- Purpose: Motion data is used solely to measure vehicle acceleration performance.
- Local Processing: All motion data is processed entirely on-device in real time and is not stored beyond the active session.
- No Transmission: Motion and sensor data is never transmitted to any external server.
4. Trip Data Storage
The Application records and stores trip history locally on your device.
- What Is Stored: Trip duration, distance, average speed, maximum speed, and route coordinates are saved for your reference.
- Local Only: All trip data is stored on-device and is never uploaded to any server.
- User Control: You can delete individual trips or all trip history from within the Application at any time.
5. Payments and Premium Features
Speedometer may offer optional premium features via in-app purchases processed through Apple's App Store using StoreKit.
- All payment transactions are handled entirely by Apple.
- The Service Provider does not receive your credit card details, billing address, or Apple ID.
- Purchase and subscription information is governed by Apple's privacy terms.
6. Third-Party Services
The Application does not share, sell, or transmit any user data to third parties.
- No third-party SDKs, ad networks, or analytics services are integrated into the Application.
- No data is shared with third-party AI services.
- Apple Maps: The Application uses Apple's MapKit framework to display maps. Map tile requests are handled directly by Apple and are subject to .
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Since application data is stored locally on your device:
- Retention: Data remains on your device for as long as the Application is installed.
- Deletion: You can delete all application data by uninstalling the app or using any reset options built into the Application. Trip history can be deleted individually from within the app.
- No data remains on external servers because none is transmitted.
8. Your Rights
You have full control over the data stored on your device:
- Access: Any app data that exists locally is available within the Application, including trip history, speed records, and settings.
- Deletion: You may uninstall the Application or use in-app options to remove local data.
- Portability: Because the Application stores data locally, it remains under your control on your device.
Since the Service Provider does not collect data on a server, there is no server-side data to request, correct, or delete.
9. Children's Privacy
Speedometer does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

10. Security
- The Application relies on Apple's platform security and sandboxing to help protect your data.
- The Application does not intentionally make network connections to transmit user data.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating this page with a new effective date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
